Halvorsen Hansen Addition
The Halvorsen Hansen Addition is a house extension found in Bergen, Norway. We have paired a traditional structure with an undeniably new form that complements the contextual and formal characteristics of both site and houses. From within, the extension dematerialises into its surroundings. Cut into a steep bank, it serves as an extension of the terrace, a platform perched on the city’s populated slopes. A 25m2 roof deck is reached by an open-tread wooden stair integrated into the rear of the addition.
